Ben Affleck Set to Be New Batman

New BatmanA decade after largely disappointing pic based on the Marvel character, Daredevil, Warner Bros. has announced that Ben Affleck will take another chance as a superhero. In Hollywoodland, in 2006, we could see Affleck as George Reeves, Superman from the 1950s TV series Adventures of Superman. However, this time as Batman, he will join Henry Cavill in Man of Steel sequel.

This yet untitled superhero movie has been scripted by David S. Goyer, and the story was co-created by Goyer and Zack Snyder. As a matter of fact, Zack Snyder has the opportunity to direct this movie; Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven are producers, Michael E. Uslan, Benjamin Melniker and Wesley Coller are executive producers. The production of the movie is expected in 2014, while it will probably hit theatres in the summer of 2015.

One thing is certain, every comic books and superhero movie fan is excited. The Man of Steel sequel will probably be called Batman vs. Superman, so it will be interesting to watch these two superheroes together on the big-screen for the first time.

Zack Snyder seems to be really looking forward to working with Ben Affleck on this project. According to Snyder, Ben as an actor has everything needed to portrayal Batman or Bruce Wayne properly, to play the role of a man who bears the crime fighter scars, a charming billionaire, wiser and older than Clark Kent. Zack believes Affleck will provide a fun counterbalance to Cavill’s Superman.

It seems that Ben Affleck is really happy working with Warner Bros. since this studio will be producing Live by Night, the movie he will direct. Also, Affleck’s Argo was produced by Warner Bros. and it won Academy Award for the Best Picture this year.

Ben Affleck, Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer will create the fifth big-screen Batman. The first one was played by Michael Keaton and directed by Tim Burton. We are looking forward to this movie, even though we still remember Daredevil.
