Golden Globes 2013 – Golden Moments!

Golden Globes 2013 took place with great excitement, humors, tears and a lot of heartwarming moments and awards! It was Sunday 13^th Jan. night in LA, which was painted in bright colors, with the lively hosts, like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who nuzzled with George Clooney sitting in the audience and they both commented on the short-lived marriage of Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron as ‘torture’, Jennifer Lopez stunned the audience with her long-sleeved, body-baring, cream-laced Zuhair Murad gown, coming out of Jodie Foster at the acceptance of Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award and much more!

As an indeed special guest, Bill Clinton – the 42^nd American President, offered a presidential boost to ‘Lincoln’, by Steven Spielberg and as he left the stage, Amy Poehler commented as if in awe, “Wow, what an exciting special guest. That was Hillary Clinton’s husband!”

And Daniel-Day Lewis who depicted Clinton’s forerunner in ‘Lincoln’ won the “Best Actor in a Drama”.

Ben Affleck’s ‘Agro’ gave a pleasant surprise in the show by winning the “Best Director” and the “Best Picture, Drama” awards. The “Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy” was won by ‘Les Miserables’, over its Oscar-hoping rival, “Silver Linings Playbook”, while Jennifer Lawrence grabbed the ‘Best Actress, Comedy or Musical’ for “Silver Linings Playbook”, for her fabulous depiction of an weird young widow in the film. Her greatest competitor for the next month’s Academy Awards, Jessica Chastain grabbed the “Best Actress, Drama” for ‘Zero Dark Thirty’.

Hugh Jackman, won over Bradley Cooper, costar of Lawrence, and grabbed the “Best Actor, Comedy or Musical” for ‘Les Miserables’. Jackaman lost thirty pounds to personify Jean Valjean, a noble fugitive in the film.

The triumph of Anne Hathaway for the “Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture” was quite expected, because of her outstanding performance in ‘Les Miserables’, of an unfortunate factory-employee, forced into prostitution.
